I feel like Caelan’s development exploded this past month. He’s not this tender little newborn anymore – he’s rolling over, almost sitting up, and is trying so hard to crawl. I might be a little biased, but I feel like he’s super smart and mentally, developing so rapidly. He’s figuring things out and trying to do so many things on his own, like hold his bottle and self soothe with his binky. He’s interacting with his toys more, focusing on things like his stories and music toys, and interacts/plays with people, especially his dad! He has so much love and playfulness in him already!
We have a lot to look forward to in the next few months. Next month, the three of us are taking a trip to Virginia to visit family and we have a baby blessing planned to celebrate his birth the following weekend. We’ve got some local family stuff keeping us busy over the weekends too, between baby and bridal showers, another cousin on his way, a wedding, and some birthdays. We were also cleared to start food whenever we feel comfortable, but we’re probably going to wait until around six months!
I’ve also been thinking about how much my life, and my take on life, has changed since becoming his mom, and how happy I am in the simple things, like his laugh, his smile, and spending time with our little family of three!
